Post industrial waste recycling
Another important section of film recycling market is surely represented by post-commercial and post-industrial waste film recycling.
These materials contain lower amounts of contaminants compared to post-consumer waste films, however, the characteristics of the contaminants, which are mainly paper and organic add complexity to the system. In particular, the washing and drying processes become more challenging.
SOREMA, thanks to its long experience in film recycling and to its recognized worldwide know-how can assure the maximum decontamination of post-commercial and post-industrial film both with hot and cold washing systems.
Hot and cold washing systems are installed in the plastic reprocessing plants to eliminate great amounts of the most challenging contaminants. SOREMA’s recycling lines are capable of processing a wide variety of materials.
SOREMA recycling lines for post-commercial and post-industrial film can reach a production capacity of 3.000 kg/h. The produced R PE reach the highest quality standards and can be employed in film blowing. Such an efficient recovery of PE represents an extremely interesting investment opportunity.
The first step in film recycling is generating a stable flow of the incoming waste through a shredder. Prewash de-contamination then takes place, initially by agitation and decontamination, and subsequently in float-sink tanks to remove heavier contaminants. . This operation reduces machinery wear in the remaining part of the line. Precleaned Film is sent to a wet granulator followed by a centrifuge for the removal of water and pulp. A stirring and separation tank follow, for further decontamination. additional centrifugation steps follow to remove fine contaminants and water. Specially designed thermal drying with hot air allow to remove efficiently final moisture.
All SOREMA recycling system is offered with a centralized controlled system to allow system management. Complete water treatment facilities can be provided. The best product quality, coupled with low costs can be achieved by SOREMA.
